McMain Envelope Repair

The Work of Project consists in general of exterior restoration of the School and Auditorium buildings only, including the following: 

1. The existing Eleanor McMain Secondary High was built in 1930 in the art deco style and is historic and protected by the Secretary of Interiors, FEMA, and the State Historic Preservation Office.

2. The Work consists of inspecting and identifying loosely-adhered exterior cement stucco work, replacement, routing and repair of cracks in stucco, and preparation of stucco substrates, patching of stucco, and finishing.

3. Work also consists of removal of wood window sashes, shop repair, preparation, and painting of sashes, and reinstallation of window sashes; the Work also consists of in-place repair of existing wood window frames, preparation, and painting.

4. Work also consists of repair in place of steel window sashes and frames, preparation, and painting of sashes.

5. Work also consists of rehabilitation of existing wood entry doors, and rehabilitation of nonhistorical hollow metal doors and frames.

6. Work also consists of other rehabilitation work.

7. Interior work under this Contract is limited to that necessitated by the exterior restoration work including window and door restoration, and painting of interior rooms and built-in millwork, documenting extent of required stucco removal and repair, removal of stucco requiring.
